<INTERVIEW TRANSCRIPT>
ALAN JONES, RADIO 2GB: Luke, good morning.
LUKE BRAILEY, BACK TO BELMORE INC. PRESIDENT: Yes, good morning Alan, how are you?
ALAN JONES: Well, thank you. You wrote to me, I think, didn't you?
LUKE BRAILEY: Yes, yes, that is correct.
ALAN JONES: Go on, away you go.
LUKE BRAILEY: Alan, the Bulldogs have announced that they will play their NRL games out of Telstra Stadium for the next 15 years. Now, what struck me about this announcement that was made at last week's AGM was that it isn't new but nevertheless, the decision has angered many supporters who have a keen and heartfelt desire to return to the club's rightful home ground at Belmore Sports Ground.
ALAN JONES: Mm-hmm
LUKE BRAILEY: Now I'm currently behind a campaign to garner public support for State and Federal Government funding to upgrade the Bulldogs' original and rightful home ground so the Bulldogs can stage a select number of their NRL home games there in the long-term future.
ALAN JONES: The people out there would say "why should taxpayers money be used for this?"
LUKE BRAILEY: Now Oki Jubilee Oval, Toyota Park, Brookvale Oval, Penrith Stadium and Leichhardt Oval are all classic examples of Federal and State Government funding; they were all allocated funding by the State and Federal Governments. Belmore Sports Ground is just as worthy a cause and should be given the same consideration as these other aforementioned venues.
ALAN JONES: We've got to go to the news, Luke. I'll come back to you on the story but keep in touch with us on this issue, will you?
LUKE BRAILEY: Absolutely.
