I am currently behind an ongoing campaign to procure Federal Government funding for the purpose of upgrading Belmore Sports Ground, the true home of the Bulldogs, as a top-class sporting facility, so the club can return there for a select number of NRL home games in the long-term future.
The Bulldogs are moving from Belmore Sports Ground to Telstra Stadium for financial reasons next year and they can't go back to Belmore without a substantial upgrade.
My campaign's protest is mainly aimed at pressuring the Federal Government into coughing up some money to fix Belmore Sports Ground so the Bulldogs can return to their spiritual kennel.
Given the growing support for the suburban home ground, Bulldogs supporters would be happy with a few games at Belmore per year, as we would rather have 50 per cent of something than 100 per cent of nothing.
I urge all Bulldogs supporters to get behind this campaign,
