Bulldogs may quit Belmore

By Dean Ritchie

September 2, 2004 - Daily Telegraph

The Bulldogs will consider quitting their traditional home base of Belmore Sports Ground for next season's premiership.

Bulldogs club management is examining a move to Dunc Gray Velodrome near Georges Hall. The Bulldogs would continue to play home games at Homebush under the proposal. Training and administration would move to the new facility.

The move would signal the end of an era as they have based at Belmore since joining the comp in 1935. The Bulldogs travel to Auckland to play New Zealand Warriors seeking to win the minor premiership.
